FROM THE PASTOR
Dear
parishioners,
Next weekend, some important events will
occur in our parish. First, we will
have our annual Corpus Christi procession through the streets of German
Village. This will take place next
Sunday, beginning at 3:00 PM in the church.
The procession generally takes about one hour. Please join us for this important means of proclaiming our
Catholic faith as we honor Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist!
At the Masses next weekend, some new
faces will be in our midst. Our new
school principal, Mr. Chad Grube, will introduce himself to our parish. Actually, he will be here Thursday for a
reception at the school, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, and everyone is invited to come
– so please feel free to attend! Also,
our seminarian for the summer, Adam Streitenberger, will arrive this week, and
will be here next weekend as well.
We continue to make significant progress
toward our St. Mary’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal goals. I am really touched by everyone’s generosity! I am grateful to all who have participated,
as your contributions will help us continue the many works of St. Mary parish
and school. Again, I remind those who
have not yet pledged that since we have surpassed our diocesan goal, anything
now pledged will come back in its entirety to St. Mary’s. So, if you haven’t yet made a pledge, please
consider doing so at this time.
As always, I pray for the Lord’s blessing
to be with all of us at St. Mary’s.
Sincerely
in Christ Jesus,
Fr. Hammond
