Special Ticket Sale: Aaron Diehl, on of our school alumni, and a nationally acclaimed Jazz Pianist, is coming to town to help out today’s St. Mary School students. He will give a benefit concert at the Riffe Center on Friday, November 10 at 7:30. Stop in the rectory after the first and last masses this weekend for a little wine and cheese, and bring your checkbook. Tickets will be on sale for $50.00. They will also be available in the gym during the usual Sunday coffee klatch. Can’t stop in? Call Father Thomas, or the school at 444-8994 to order tickets. We want to be sure our own parishioners get to go to the concert before the public snatches all the tickets up.

Vocalists who would like to participate in Christmas Services are needed. Midnight Mass/Christmas Day service rehearsals will begin November 29th.  All voices are welcome. Male voices are particularly needed.

Children who are interested in singing at the 5:00 Christmas Eve or 10:30 Christmas day service are needed as well.  See Teresa Monds if interested in the Christmas Eve service and Joy Seipp if interested in singing Christmas Day.

Bring your own cookie dough! A community baking party will be held in the school cafeteria at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 5th. We will work together to bake 150 dozen chocolate chip cookies for the Kairos Prison Ministry. Everyone is welcome! Cookie sheets will be provided; please bring chocolate chip cookie dough balls from Sam’s Club or GFS, apron, pot holders and a spatula. Can’t join us? Donations of cookie dough are most welcome. A Special Guest next weekend: Please join us the weekend of November 4-5 to hear Father W. Raymond Jarboe speak at all the services about a ministry providing direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Father Jarboe will share what he has witnessed about Food For The Poor’s mission to care for the destitute as a means of living out the Gospel mandate to love one another. Fr. Jarboe was ordained in 1989 for the Diocese of Baker. Before preaching on behalf of Food For The Poor, Fr. Ray has served as a Pastor, dean of the Deanery, and Diocesan Campus Ministry Director. Please join in welcoming Father Jarboe.

High School Students: The St. Mary’s High School Youth Group for grades 9-12 will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday the 29th for a pizza dinner, some discussion and planning, a little prayer, and some socializing. Please come to the parish office building and bring friends if you wish. They will gather in the Atrium. Future activities include: November 11 live bands in the gym at 6:00 p.m.; November 19 and December 10, pizza in the rectory at 4:30 p.m. and free transportation to the Jesus Jam at St. Agatha.
