you would like a visit. Due to privacy issues no one will be listed in the
bulletin sick list unless the person themselves or an immediate family
member requests it.
ECO (Electric
Contributions Option) Program is always open for new sign-ups. See the
information at the rear of church or call the parish office. ECO –schedule: Weekly November 13,
20, & 27; bi-weekly November 20; Monthly November 1st or 15th.
Cemetery Sunday: Sunday, November 5th prayer services will be held at 2:00
p.m. at St. Joseph, Resurrection, Holy Cross, and Mt. Calvary Cemeteries.
Windshields Rule: It is against diocesan policy to place any political materials on cars
on our property.
From Father Thomas: I have received notice from the bishop that the Catholic Conference
of Ohio, the bishops’ statewide council for public affairs, is encouraging a no
vote on Issue 3, the slot machine gambling issue. The conference lists six
reasons. For their detailed reasoning, go to www.othiocathconf.org. The reasons
given seem to mirror the concerns of the Ohio Council of Churches.
Young-at-Heart will make their last trip of this year to St. Francis Center, McArthur,
Ohio on Monday, November 6th. Items needed: toilet tissue and soap
products which may be left in the container at the rear of church.
FYI: The Parish office will be
closed November 6-10th. Messages will be checked on a regular basis
The Monday
12:30 time for reconciliation will not be available November 6th. It
will resume November 13th.

St. Mary’s has relics of Saints in the
Southeast alcove of the church. While visiting these relics you may wish to
write the name of a loved one who has died. We will remember and pray for them
this November.
Vocalists who would like to participate in Christmas Services
are needed. Midnight Mass/Christmas Day service rehearsals will begin
November 29th. All voices are welcome. Male voices are particularly
needed.
Children who are
interested in singing at the 5:00 Christmas Eve or 10:30 Christmas day service
are needed as well. See Teresa Monds if interested in the Christmas Eve
service and Joy Seipp if interested in singing Christmas Day.
Bring your own cookie
dough! A community baking party will be held in the school
cafeteria at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 5th. We will work
together to bake 150 dozen chocolate chip cookies for the Kairos Prison
Ministry. Everyone is welcome! Cookie sheets will be provided; please
bring chocolate chip cookie dough balls from Sam’s Club or GFS, apron, pot
holders and a spatula. Can’t join us? Donations of cookie dough are most

St. Therese’s Retreat
Center in Columbus is sponsoring a “24 Hour Advent Retreat”, December 8th
& 9th.The title of the retreat is: Deepening our Longing for
God. Fr. Jack Dister, S.J. will be the presenter for this special time. It
begins with supper at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening and will conclude after Mass
and supper on Saturday evening. Cost is $75.00. Call the retreat center at

High School Students: Future activities include: November 11 live bands in the gym at 6:00
p.m.; November 19 and December 10, pizza in the rectory at 4:30 p.m. and free
transportation to the Jesus Jam at St. Agatha. Please ask your parents if they
would like to donate a small door prize for the November 11 band concert –
something like a fast food certificate or small gift card. Finally, your
friends from other churches are invited to all activities except the ones that
require St. Mary’s to provide transportation.
Knights of Columbus #5429 will have a Thanksgiving Eve Men’s Gathering at St.
Mary’s School Gym Wednesday, November 22 from 6:30 until Midnight (or so). Fun
Food, fellowship and a beverage or two! Evening raffle and an occasional split
the pot. Cost is $15.00 at the door. Please come and join us.
FYI – St.
Mary’s will again have the Christmas Tree Sale and we will have the Gala
January 13, 2007. Please remember to patronize these events!

St. Mary Library thanks all of our parishioners for their generosity and
support for our annual spaghetti dinner. With your help, we broke all records:
we served nearly 700 dinners and profited nearly $3,000.00! All of the money is
used to support our Library/Literary Programs. A special thank you to the parishioners
who donated to the dinner: Gischel Produce, Hey-Hey Bar & Grill, the
Knights of Columbus #5429 and Frances Grispino. “Grazie” to all!
