December 23-24 -Fourth Sunday of Advent: Regular Mass

December 25th - Christmas Day: 10:30

The Feast of Mary, Mother of God is not a day of
obligation this year but we will have a Mass on January 1st at 12:00Noon
Vocalists who would like to
participate in Christmas Services are needed. Midnight Mass/Christmas Day
service rehearsals will begin November 29th. All voices are welcome.
Male voices are particularly needed.
Children who are interested in
singing at the 5:00 Christmas Eve or 10:30 Christmas day service are
needed as well. Bell ringers are also needed. See
Teresa Monds if interested in the Christmas Eve service and Joy Seipp if
interested in singing Christmas Day.
St. Leo Preservation Society: The society is a non-profit
organization that seeks to maintain and restore the church named after Pope St.
Leo the Great on Hanford St. Donations to the society are tax deductible and

Young Adult Gathering: The Columbus Diocesan Office of youth and Young Adult
Ministry invites Young Adults 18-25, to join together for Mass followed by a
tour of the Jubilee Museum Thursday, November 16th at 7:00 p.m. the
Mass will be at Holy Family Church 584 W. Broad St. Father Kevin Lutz will be
the celebrant. The JubileeMuseum is near the church at 57 S. Grubb St. For more information and to RSVP

Albert the Great was
one of the Church's greatest intellects. He studied at the University of Padua and later taught at Hildesheim, Freiburg-im-Breisgau, Regensburg, and Strasbourg. He then taught at the University of Paris, where he received his doctorate
in 1245. He was among the first and greatest of the natural scientists, gaining
a reputation for expertise in biology, mathematics, chemistry, metaphysics,
physics, astronomy, and geography. He was also very learned in biblical studies
and theology. His feast day is November 15th and he is the patron of
Scientists.
St. Mary’s has relics of Saints in the
Southeast alcove of the church. While visiting these relics you may wish to
write the name of a loved one who has died. We will remember and pray for them
this November.
St. Therese’s Retreat Center in Columbus is
sponsoring a “24 Hour Advent Retreat”, December 8th & 9th.The
title of the retreat is: Deepening our Longing for God. Fr. Jack Dister, S.J.
will be the presenter for this special time. It begins with supper at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening and will
conclude after Mass and supper on Saturday evening. Cost is $75.00. Call the

Knights of Columbus #5429 will have a Thanksgiving Eve Men’s Gathering at St.
Mary’s School Gym Wednesday, November 22 from 6:30
until Midnight (or so). Fun Food, fellowship and a beverage or two! Evening raffle
and an occasional split the pot. Cost is $15.00 at the door. Please come and
join us.
FYI – St.
Mary’s will again have the Christmas Tree Sale beginning November 25th,
Chili and Carols will be Friday, December 1st beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Maennerchor Concert will be Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00 p.m. and we will have the Gala Saturday, January 13, 2007. Please remember to patronize these events!
