Frankie says “Thank you for your support. God bless you.” Frankie Carrick is now 18 months in remission. Thank you so much for the prayers.

ECO (Electric Contributions Option) Program is always open for new sign-ups. See the information at the rear of church or call the parish office. ECO –schedule: March Weekly 12, 19, 26; Bi-weekly: March 12, 26; Monthly March 1st or 15th.

Young-at-Heart Lenten Project: Collecting toilet tissue and soap products for St. Francis Center, McArthur, Ohio. Items may be left in the main entrance of church. Arrangement for donations of larger items (clothing, household items, etc.) may be made by calling 443-6154 or 443-1032.

FYI: There will be NO Confessions here at St. Mary’s on Monday, March 12th or Monday, March 19th.

Please welcome Msgr. Thomas Bender who will celebrate Masses here at St. Mary’s at Noon on Monday, March 12th and at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday March 13th.

Training: We will be having training for all current extraordinary ministers and all those who would like to be an extraordinary minister, March 11th at 10:00am.  We will go over NEW procedures and train those who have never served in this ministry before.  We will be updating our database and schedule.  If you are unable to attend, but would still like to be an extraordinary minister please contact Jason Shanks. All Extraordinary ministers please check the map by the sign in sheet to see where people are standing.  We are now have 4 breads and 2 wines.  Sacristans should put out 4 patens and 2 cups (4pm) and 5 patens and 3 cups (9am & 11:30am).

The three traditional pillars of Lenten observance are prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Almsgiving: The Food Pantry collection for the two weekends totaled $1,495.12 in cash and a lot of food. Thank you!!

 

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The stations will be prayed at 3:00 on Wednesday this week at St. Leo and at 7:00 on Friday at St. Mary.

Choir: singers and instrumentalist are invited to join the 9:00 or 11:30 choir during the Lenten season / Easter Services. There’s nothing like a good Knight followed by a good breakfast! Please follow our good Knights from council #5429 on Sunday, March 18th to the school gym for a Chris Cakes Pancake breakfast following the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Adults $5.00, students $4.00. Advance ticket sales available in the school office.

Notre Dame Hesburgh Lecture:  The Notre Dame Club of Columbus and Central Ohio invites everyone to attend their annual Hesburgh Lecture.  Through PowerPoint images Notre Dame Professor Alexander Hahn will discuss Mathematics & Mysticism: from Football to the DaVinci Code. The presentation is Sunday, March 18th at 7 pm in Marian Hall at Immaculate Conception, 414 E. North Broadway, Columbus 43214.  The presentation is open to the public and admission is free.
