Young-at-Heart Lenten Project: Collecting toilet tissue and soap products for St. Francis Center, McArthur, Ohio. Items may be left in the main entrance of church. Arrangement for donations of larger items (clothing, household items, etc.) may be made by calling 443-6154 or 443-1032.

FYI: There will be NO Confessions here at St. Mary’s on Monday March 19^th.

Almsgiving:

St. Mary School Community Walk for Diabetes

Please join us in our walk thru Schiller Park and the German Village community. We would like for any of our parents, Grandparents, and parishioners to join us in an effort to raise awareness for Diabetes and the importance of staying fit. We will be meeting one of the goals for our wellness Policy.

When: Friday, April 20^th

Where: Begin and end at St. Mary School

Time: 1:15 to 2:30 p.m.

Rain Date: Friday, April 27^th

If anyone would like to make a donation to the American Diabetes Association feel free to do so by sending a check/money order in an envelope to school by April 13, 2007. Also, if you would like to honor someone who has disbetes send in the name(s) on a piece of paper to Mrs. Fackler (School nurse) or Miss Johnson (P.E.Teacher) by April 13^th. Those names will be listed on a poster (In Honor of) that we will carry on our walk.

Prayer:

Stations of The Cross: The stations will be prayed at 3:00 on Wednesday this week at St. Leo and at 7:00 on Friday at St. Ladislas.

Sacrament of Penance: Confessions are heard during the Friday evening Stations of the Cross, and our parish penance service will be on April 1 at 2:00.

Anointing of The Sick: The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered after all the masses on March 31 and April 1^st.

``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````High School Students: We have tickets to the Nationwide Arena on March 31^st to watch the Junior Blue Jackets play Chicago. Call 445 9668 to make a reservation. We will have pizza in the Atrium at 5:30 and then depart for the arena.

Flower Remembrance Forms are available in the back of Church. The money donated goes to pay for the Easter flowers. Names of loved ones will be put in the Easter bulletin. April 1^st is the deadline for flower remembrance forms to be turned in.

4-S Club Ladies Auxiliary Dinner Sunday, March 25^th from 12 Noon to 3:00 p.m. The $7.00 per person dinner includes: Baked Pork Chops, Dressing, Cheesy Potatoes, Green Beans, Rolls & Butter, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert. All are invited to the 4-s Club 281 E. Whittier St. for the dinner.

ANOTHER GALA AUCTION ITEM: A wine tasting at our neighborhood wine shop with dinner for six to follow at the rectory has been added to the list of auction items at the big Gala on May 20^th. Do you have your ticket yet? CHILD CARE will be offered for parish children here at our day care center.

GALA COMMITTEE EXPANDS: The next meeting of the committee working on the May 20^th Gala will be at 10:00 on March 18 in the gym. Come eat some pancakes and join in the discussion.

Registrations are now available for the seventh annual CATHOLIC YOUTH SUMMER CAMP. Camp is from July 22-27 for high school students (current 8^th- 12^th graders) and July 29 - August 3 for Junior High (current 5^th- 7^th graders) students. This six-day resident camp features high adventure activities such as jet skis, tubing, horseback riding, canoeing, and mountain biking in a supportive, Catholic environment.
