Young-at-Heart Lenten
Project: Collecting
toilet tissue and soap products for St.FrancisCenter, McArthur, Ohio. Items may be left in the
main entrance of church. Arrangement for donations of larger items (clothing,
household items, etc.) may be made by calling 443-6154 or 443-1032.
Cross International:This weekend we welcome Rev. Robert Conway who comes to us on
behalf of Cross International Catholic Outreach. Parishes in Haiti and other
underdeveloped countries represent more than an important source of spiritual
truth for their community. They also stand as a beacon of hope for impoverished
families who have nowhere else to turn for help. Come and hear how we can make
a difference in the lives of our least brothers and sisters in the Third World. You can also visit

Reception of Communion: Next weekend, there
will be more distributors of communion under the form of bread. Father Thomas
will speak about this change before mass, and give some direction for the
communion process.

St.MarySchool Community Walk for
Diabetes
Please
join us in our walk thru SchillerPark and the GermanVillage community. We would
like for any of our parents, Grandparents, and parishioners to join us in an
effort to raise awareness for Diabetes and the importance of staying fit. We
will be meeting one of the goals for our wellness Policy.

If anyone would like to make a donation to the American Diabetes
Association feel free to do so by sending a check/money order in an envelope to
school by April 13, 2007. Also, if you would like to honor someone who has
disbetes send in the name(s) on a piece of paper to Mrs. Fackler (School nurse)
or Miss Johnson (P.E.Teacher) by April 13th. Those names will be
listed on a poster (In Honor of) that we will carry on our walk.
Prayer:
Stations of the Cross: The stations will be prayed at 3:00 on Wednesday this week at St. Leo
and at 7:00 on Friday at Corpus Christi.
Sacrament of Penance: Confessions are heard during the
Friday evening Stations of the Cross, and our parish penance service will be on
April 1 at 2:00.
Anointing of The Sick:The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered
after all the masses on March 31 and April 1st
High School Students: We have tickets to the Nationwide
Arena on March 31st to watch the Junior Blue Jackets play Chicago. Call 445 9668 to make a reservation.
We will have pizza in the Atrium at 5:30 and then depart for the arena. Also,
there will be a meeting of interested persons to learn about a retreat we will
offer on April 28 and 29.
Flower Remembrance Forms are available in the back of
Church. The money donated goes to pay for the Easter flowers. Names
of loved ones will be put in the Easter bulletin. April 1st is
the deadline for flower remembrance forms to be turned in.
4-S Club Ladies Auxiliary Dinner Sunday, March 25th from 12 Noon
to 3:00 p.m. The $7.00 per person dinner includes: Baked Pork Chops, Dressing,
Cheesy Potatoes, Green Beans, Rolls & Butter, and Pineapple Upside Down
Cake for dessert. All are invited to the 4-s Club 281 E. Whittier St. for the
dinner.
From Father Thomas: With funds saved in various areas of
expense, I have purchased a used piano for the first floor of the church. Down
the road, I think we can recoup the expenditure with one or two concerts. In
the meantime, this will not affect our operating expenses, as it is considered
a capital expense. Always feel free to give me a call with any questions you
may have. Thanks again to all the generous folks here who do and give so much
for St. Mary’s church and school. Sister Regina
and I, and our financial advisors, will be meeting with the bishop this week to
discuss long term financial plans.
Gala: Free child care will be offered to
our parish and school families who will be attending the May 20th

Parent Informational Night is Monday, April 26th at 7:00 p.m. in
the school gym. If you are interested in registering your child for
Kindergarten or already have, please come to this meeting.
·St. Mary Music Department
presents a Musical Review on Friday, March 30 & Saturday, March 31 @ 7:00 pm. Adults, $3.00
/students $1.00. Our current 5th and 8th graders will present highlights from
our last six spring dramas, including Annie, Guys and Dolls, and Godspell.
