Young-at-Heart Lenten
Project: Collecting
toilet tissue and soap products for St.FrancisCenter, McArthur, Ohio. Items may be left in
the main entrance of church. Arrangement for donations of larger items
(clothing, household items, etc.) may be made by calling 443-6154 or 443-1032.
Volunteers to serve coffee & donuts between the 9:00 and 11:30 a.m. Masses are needed. Call Marge
Smigelski at 871-8142 if you are available.

Daily Mass Schedule: Please note some minor changes in the schedule of daily Masses for the
next two weeks. The noon
Mass time rather than the 8:30 a.m. time will be more standard. The next school Mass will be on April 18th.

Listening Session: Father Thomas would like to hear from any and all parishioners
about their ideas for parish life here, about their concerns, or their
questions and suggestions. He has been meeting with various committees and
boards, but has not yet had a chance to hear from a broader audience. He will
meet in church with those who wish to remain after the 4:00 p.m. Mass April 14th. He will meet in the gym
at 10:00
a.m. on Sunday the 15th.
Members of boards and committees are especially encouraged to attend so that
they too can hear others’ input.
BINGO TO CONTINUE? Last fiscal year, our bingo games
netted $50,000 to the parish and school. However, we are reaching a crew
crisis. More volunteers are needed to make a once per month commitment of
a few hours. Call 445 9668 to volunteer.
St.MarySchool Community Walk for
Diabetes: Please join us in our walk thru SchillerPark and the GermanVillage community. We would
like for any of our parents, Grandparents, and parishioners to join us in an
effort to raise awareness for Diabetes and the importance of staying fit. We
will be meeting one of the goals for our wellness Policy.
GALA CHILD CARE MAY

The parish will provide free child care in its pre-school building for
parishioners who will be attending the Gala. We are sorry that we cannot
offer this service to the general public. To register your children for

for the 2007-08 school year - grades PK through 8 is underway. If you would
like an application or more information about St.MarySchool

·EdChoice Education
Scholarship: Do you or someone you know have a
child currently attending a school in the ColumbusPublic School system? Many of the district's schools are currently on the
state's emergency watch list and thus students attending those schools are
eligible to apply for an EdChoice Education Scholarship. Incoming kindergarteners are also
eligible if their designated school is on the list. If received, an EdChoice
Scholarship would provide up to $4,250 to attend SaintMaryElementary School or $5,000 to attend any of the Catholic high schools in Columbus. The deadline for application is April 20th. If you would like
more information regarding eligibility or the process on how to apply, please
contact Brian Collins at 374-5894.
·St. Mary Home & School Association
will once again be holding its annual Spring Flower Sale. Order forms are available
in the back of church; all orders due in by Thursday, April 26. Flowers will be
delivered on Thursday, May 10.

Mary’s
will host “Bully-Proofing Youth – Parent Edition Monday, April 16th
from 7:00
to 8:30 p.m.
in the school gym. Parents will learn what dynamics create bully and victim
behaviors and how to help their children not become or remain a member of
either group. The focus will be on practical things parents can do at home to
support their children, including the technique of role playing exercises with
kids, the goal being able to stop the cycle. Presenter: Jim Bisenius.

(SAB) has one opening for a 3 year term that starts this May.SAB meets monthly during the school year with
Sr Regina and Fr Thomas and acts in an advisory capacity.Active parishioners who are interested in the

elections will be held during Masses the weekend on April 28th and 29th.
