Do you want to be an Altar Server? Deacon Roger Minner will be
training all those students who would like to be an altar server or feel they
need a refresher course Sunday June 3rd following the 9:00am
Mass. Meet in the Church.
Chaplet: If you would like to lead the
Divine Mercy chaplet before a Sunday 9:00 mass, please call Patty Collins at
253-3824 and you will be put on the schedule. A sign up sheet is on the
bulletin board.

Youth Group Outings: Parish high School students and
students currently in grades 7 and 8 are welcome to come to King’s Island on Thursday, June 14th
at a cost of $25.00 per ticket. On Friday, June 8th the Youth Group
will go to the Clippers game. Call the church office at 445-9668 to make a
reservation for either or both events.

Sunday, June 10th is the Feast of Corpus
Christi, the Body and Blood of Christ. Following the 11:30 AM Mass we will process down the street to the
park and back. Please come and bring a friend. Pope Benedict XVI said in his weekly Angelus address
last year: "By carrying the Eucharist through the streets and squares, we
wish to submerge the bread descended from heaven in the everyday of our lives;
we want Jesus to walk where we walk; to live where we live."
She made known her ideas to Robert de
Thorete, then Bishop
of Liège,. Bishop Robert was
favourably impressed, and, since bishops as yet had the right of ordering feasts for their dioceses, he called a synod in 1246 and ordered
the celebration to be held in the following year.
Bishop Robert did not live to see
the execution of his order, for he died 16 October, 1246; but the feast was celebrated for
the first time by the canons of St. Martin at Liège. Urban IV, always an
admirer of the feast,
published the Bull
"Transiturus" (8 September, 1264), in which, after having extolled
the love of
Our Saviour as expressed
in the Holy Eucharist,
he ordered the annual celebration of Corpus Christi in the Thursday next after Trinity Sunday, at the
same time
granting many indulgences
to the faithful for the attendance at Mass.
Bishop’s
Annual Appeal Update: We began the bishop’s Annual Appeal May 5-6 and we have
passed our diocesan target amount of $43,539.98. Remember, any amount donated
exceeding our parish goal returns to the parish once the pledges are completely
paid in full. This has been a huge help to parish finances in recent years.

for the 2007-08 school year - grades PK through 8 is underway. If you would

Mass is at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6th.

school is Friday, June 8th. We will have early dismissal that day at
1:00 p.m. There is no latchkey (after school care) that
day.

Jubilee of Anniversaries 2007 will be held on Sunday, June 24,
2007 at St.
Matthew Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna at 2:30 p.m. Married couples celebrating their
25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th,
50th, 55th, 60th, Anniversary and every year
thereafter are encouraged to attend. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Campbell
and a reception in your honor will be held following the Mass. Call the
