ASH WEDNESDAY is not a holy day of obligation. It is, however, a day of fast and abstinence. Please see the enclosed flyer which lists the rules and regulations of Fast and Abstinence. Lent is a time of personal reflection, repentance, almsgiving and prayer. “Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel” – “Remember, you are dust, and to dust you will return.”
