Thanks And Best Wishes: Cindy Oddi, who has been here at St. Mary for about four years, is taking on bigger responsibilities as business manager of two parishes on the west side of Columbus.  We will miss her dedication and hard work here in the parish office.  Jason Shanks, Father Thomas, and Ann Anderson (who has already been assisting Cindy) will share her duties and responsibilities.

Ever Consider College Seminary? An endowment in the name of St. Mary Church earned about $1700 last year.  The endowment is restricted to assisting a member of St. Mary parish who is studying for the priesthood.  In the diocese of Columbus, seminarians are responsible for their own college education.  The diocese picks up the bills once a seminarian finishes college and enters into the last four years of preparation for priesthood.  Call Father Thomas if you would like to discuss priesthood.

Walking Stations of the Cross - Persons of all ages are welcomed to join in Good Friday stations prayed at various spots downtown.  The walk begins with prayer in the cathedral at 8:00a.m.  Father Thomas will provide transportation for youth group members, who are responsible for leading prayers at station number four.  Parking will be free in the lot behind the cathedral.

Southside Lenten Penance Service will be held Sunday, March 16th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church.

Due to the blizzard this past weekend many people were understandably unable to attend Mass.  Because of this, we only brought in $2,900 in the offertory.  As you might imagine, this was unforeseen from a budgetary and cash flow standpoint.  Essential programs at St. Mary’s are dependent on your generosity and kindness.  Please consider doubling up your contribution or giving a little more over the next few weeks to help with this collection shortfall.  Thank you for your understanding.
