Ever Consider College Seminary? An endowment in the name of St. Mary Church earned about $1700 last
year. The endowment is restricted to assisting a member of St. Mary parish who is studying for the
priesthood. In the diocese of Columbus, seminarians are responsible for
their own college education. The diocese picks up the bills once a
seminarian finishes college and enters into the last four years of preparation
for priesthood. Call Father Thomas if you would like to discuss priesthood.
Youth Group News: Junior high and high school students are welcome at a
concert/dance on Saturday, April 5 at 8:00. Admission
is $5.00. Food and drinks will be on sale. Proceeds go to the American Cancer
Society. Parents who want to chaperone should call Father Thomas at 445-9668.
Youth Group Meeting:All high school students and our 7th and 8th
graders are invited to a youth group meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 in the Atrium.
A brief film will be followed by discussion and refreshments.

Thanks to All:The Food Pantry would like to thank
Fr. Thomas, parishioners of St. Mary’s, and the St. Mary’s Girl Scouts for the recent
donation of 27 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for needy families. The Southside
Community Ministries Food Pantry, located at St. Paul’s V.C.C. on Gates Street served 132 households with 511
individuals in February 2008. St. Mary’s is responsible to work the Pantry
the 2nd to the last Saturday of every month. We are in need of extra
volunteers, so if you could spare a couple hours (1:00 p.m. to 2:30
p.m.)please contact Jeanne Sauer @ 253-6815.
Catholic Women’s Annual Retreat:All women of the Diocese are invited
to attend this event scheduled for April 18, 19, 20, 2008 at St. Therese’s RetreatCenter, 5277 E. Broad St., Columbus. The offering for the weekend is
