DAILY MASS CHANGE REMINDER: The noon mass will NOT be celebrated
on April 22nd. It will be moved to April 24th. This
will happen again on May 5th, due to diocesan events. The May 5th
mass will be moved to May 8th.
YOUTH GROUP NEWS:Plan to come with the Parish youth to a showing of the film
“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.” The group will go to the 7:00 showing on Sunday, May 18th.
The group is open to St. Mary high school students and 7th and 8th

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Our parish
celebration of First Holy Communion will be on Saturday, May 3rd at
the 4:00 Mass. It will be more crowded than usual, of course,
as grandparents and other visitors will be celebrating with us.

learn more about your Catholic faith and meet people who share it? Join us for

ST.MARYSCHOOL NEWS:
All parishioners are invited to participate in our 15th
annual FAMILY CAKE DECORATING CONTEST, Monday, April 21, as part of our Right
to Read Week celebration. Our theme this year is based on the ocean: “Ride the
Reading Wave!” Families may bake and decorate a cake based on a book or a
reading theme. Lots of prizes! Parishioners are also invited to view or
purchase cakes on display during the school day, 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Also, our annual RIGHT TO READ WEEK
& FAMILY READING FESTIVAL is set for Friday, April
26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the school gym for
Preschoolers-3rd grade. All are welcome. Please stop by the school
any time during Right to Read Week (April 21-25) to see the fabulous work our

SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
The St. Mary School Advisory Board
is accepting nominations for two elected parishioner positions which expire
this June. The SAB meets once a month, and a term is three years. If you are
interested and would like to be on the ballot, please contact SAB President Tom
Martello at 279-9440, or by e-mail at tfm2@sprynet.com.The deadline for submissions is May
4, 2008.

STILL TIME TO ENJOY GREAT MUSIC
As this
bulletin went to press, there were still some tickets left for the Aaron Diehl
concert at 7:30 on the 19th. Tickets can be purchased at
the door for $50 for preferred seating or $30 for general admission.
Sunday’s concert (the 20th) will be by Matt Munhall who has recorded
both secular and religious music. Sunday’s concert is open to all, and a
free will offering will be taken up. Sunday’s concert is at
2:00 p.m.
PLAN FOR AN EXTRA PLANT
When laying
out your vegetable garden this year, why not plant an extra plant or two whose
produce can be given to the food pantry St. Mary’s supports? The
Southside Community Ministries feeds the needy each Saturday with take home
sacks of staple items. With your help, they can add some fresh produce to
the sacks. Our parish operates the pantry on the second to last Saturday
of each month. Contact Jeanne Sauer at 253-6815 for additional information.

for a qualified person to serve as the administrative secretary for the
Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW). Qualifications required: high school diploma
