will be the main speaker at this year’s Catholic Women’s Conference. We will
meet at 10:00 a.m. between the 9:00 and 11:30 Masses in the St. Mary School
Cafeteria for "Coffee & Donuts" and Book Club
discussion. Please have the entire book read so we don't

ADULT RETREAT…a first ever retreat
exclusively for young adults is being held March 21st here at St.
Mary’s! The theme of the day is “I’m
Sorry, I forgive you, Thank you, I love you.”
Father Josh Wagner is the retreat master of the day. Cost is $40.00 which includes lunch and food

ASH WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY
25TH
All proceeds of the Ash Wednesday collection will be
contributed to JOIN (Joint Organization for Inner-city Needs), which operates
under Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Columbus. JOIN provides emergency
assistance to the poor and vulnerable of Franklin and surrounding counties.
Please use the specially printed collection envelopes to make your donation.
In addition, the diocesan Office for Social Concerns
is sponsoring a canned food drive at the start of Lent. Please bring your
donation of food to Ash Wednesday service. All donated food will be delivered
to the food bank that serves the local food pantries.
THEOLOGY and a PUB
"Vocations...We
pray for them”. We rejoice when a young man makes the commitment for
priesthood, and we celebrate their ordination a few years later, but what
happens in between? Join Theology and a Pub on Feb.17th at Gresso's
at 7:30 p.m. as Father Jeff Coning from the Vocations Office and guests from
the Pontifical College Josephinum tell us "The Story of a Vocation."
Gresso's is located in German Village. Doors open at 6 p.m. and food and drink

youth group meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on February 15th in
the Atrium.
KNIGHTS of
COLUMBUS BLOOD DRIVE
A blood drive is scheduled for Sun., Feb. 22nd at
the Shamrock Club from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To be eligible you cannot have
donated blood after Dec. 26, 2008. There are still a few time slots open
and if you would like to sign up please contact Mike McConahay at 443-0046 (H)
or 354-5742 (C). Please check your schedule and try to give a little bit of
your time (and blood) to help the Red Cross. The Shamrock Club is
located on W. Castle St. just off of High St. south of 104.

KICK OFF LENT WITH THE ST.
MARY YOUNG ADULTS
Want to win
a Wii? Save the Date for our 2009 SMAC kickoff! SMAC invites all
parishioners in their 20s and 30s to our first annual Mardi Gras party on Tuesday, February 24th.
The party kicks off at 6:30 at Gressos's in German Village (upstairs), or come
early for happy hour! Snacks provided, although food and drink will
be available for purchase. There will be a drawing for a Nintendo wii at
8:30 PM – everyone who is in attendance will be entered in the drawing.
Earn an extra ticket by RSVPing on the sign-up sheet (located at the back of
the Church) in advance of the event. Additional tickets and door prizes
will be available throughout the night. Babysitting will be provided
(please RSVP if you will be using our sitter). This is a great
opportunity to network, learn about opportunities with SMAC, and have a great

students from St. Mary have made Honor Roll for the 2nd Quarter:

David Martello was among those recently inducted into the Bishop Ready chapter of the National Honor Society at a ceremony
held at the school.
Membership
in the NHS is limited to students in the junior and senior classes who have a
cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 through the first grading period
of the current school year. In addition,
nominees must demonstrate leadership abilities and a commitment to service and
must exhibit good character.
Our
congratulations go out to each of these young people.
4-S LADIES AUXILLARY DINNER will be held on Sunday, Feb. 15th
from noon until 3:00 p.m. Dinner with desert is priced at $7.00 per person.
