St. does not belong to
us. If you use that lot without authorization, your car may be towed. St.
Mary’s lots are west of the brick wall and metal gates.
SACRAMENT OF PENANCE-SCHEDULE
CHANGE
The Sacrament of Penance is usually celebrated on
Saturday at 3:00 and on Monday right after the noon mass. However, it
will not be celebrated on Saturday, September 26 or Monday, September 28.

CELTIC VOYAGES at ST. LEO
The singers of the Magpie Consort return to St. Leo on Friday, Sept. 25th at 8:00 p.m. to
take you on a musical voyage of the Celtic lands: Scotland, Ireland,
Wales, and Appalachia. The Magpies first performed at St Leo in December last
year, and raised $1000 towards the organ restoration fund. A separate
free will collection will be taken to benefit the St Leo restoration fund.
So, bring your pocket money and get set to shop early for Christmas and

UPCOMING EVENTS
St. Ladislas Senior Stars will be
making their fall trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, Ohio,
on Thursday, October 15th. All ages are welcome. Cost is $20.00 for the bus plus the cost of
your lunch at the shrine cafeteria. Please watch the bulletin for further

the Specht Center. We will study the book of 1st Corinthians. Please

ST. MARY SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
The week of September 21
– 25 our school will be hosting its annual Book Fair. This is a chance to purchase new, good quality titles
for your child to read at home. Parents and parishioners are welcome to browse
the book fair anytime it’s open. Plan on checking out the book fair on Friday, Sept. 25th, and then enjoy a
terrific spaghetti dinner beginning
at 4:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit the library. We appreciate your support.
CRAFTERS

bazaar scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00

LIVING ROSARY
Come join your friends in Mary’s Garden at St. Leo on Sunday, Oct. 4th at 3:00 p.m.
to pray the “Living Rosary”. Please bring a folding chair. If cold or
rainy, we will hold inside. We will have flowers to represent each bead of the
Rosary as we pray together to honor Mary and ask her intercession for the end

FALL OPEN HOUSE at
the JOSEPHINUM
The Pontifical College Josephinum welcomes the
general public to its Fall Open House
on Saturday, October
3, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Explore the
beautiful buildings, chapels, and grounds of the only pontifical seminary
outside of Italy – home to more than 120 Catholic seminarians representing
dioceses from the United States and abroad. Staff and seminarians will be on
hand to offer tours of this majestic landmark, highlighting the extensive
woodwork, stained glass, terrazzo floors, intricate brickwork, and sacred art.
Rare books and manuscripts from the Josephinum library will be exhibited,
and seminary memorabilia will be available for purchase.
Admissions and parking are free. The tours will begin every half hour and are
approximately 30 minutes in duration, followed by refreshments. For more

FESTIVAL UPDATE
Through the efforts of the many volunteers our recent
festival netted $31,480.93. To all the volunteers that made this event
successful we extend our appreciation.
BLESSING of the ANIMALS
October 4th is the traditional
feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. There will be a blessing of animals
on the rectory front lawn at 10:30 a.m. that day.
