RCIA – 2009 – 2010
The topic for this week is “The Church: One, Holy, Catholic and
Apostolic”, presented by Jason Shanks. RCIA sessions are held in the Atrium
every Wed, at 7:00 p.m. Sessions are open t0 anyone
interested in learning more about your faith.

RCIC: If
you have a child between the ages of 7-14 that is interested in becoming
Catholic please contact the parish office at 445.9668. The Rite of Christian
Initiation for Children (RCIC) is scheduled to begin soon and we need to
determine the class size to adequately prepare for these sessions.
JORDAN CONFERENCE
The
quarterly Jordon Conference session for parents who wish to have a child

BIBLE STUDY….is set to resume on Wed., Oct. 21st at 6:00
p.m. in the Specht Center. We
will study the 1st and 2nd letters of St.

Middle school and high
school youth and parents are invited to the first Jesus Jam of the new school

MIRACLES
of the EUCHARIST
On Tuesday, Oct. 13th Holy Family Church at 584 W.
Broad St. will present the Vatican Pictorial International Exhibition:
The Eucharistic Miracles of the World. In addition, they will host Bishop Athanasius
Schneider, author of “Dominus Est”. Bishop Schneider will share his dramatic
story of living under Russian rule. The day will begin with mass at 9:00 a.m., the Holy Rosary,
Confession, and close with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Admission is free.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY (SERVICE DAY)
St. Mary will again partner with
Catholic Social Services in reaching out to serve the disabled and older adults
of our community with projects around their home. The annual Make a Difference Day will be held on Saturday,
Oct. 24th. We will gather at St. Mary at 9:00 a.m. Last year we had an outstanding
turn out for this effort and were able to accomplish such projects as raking
leaves, repairing gutters, washing windows, painting, and installing handrails
for personal safety. Make a Difference Day is the largest national day set
aside for helping others. We need your help again this year, please sign up on

a.m. The route take runners down 3rd street, past St. Mary; those

Oct. 18th, Pope Benedict XVI calls every Catholic in the world
to celebrate our vocation to be missionaries. It is World Mission Sunday. As we
gather at the Eucharistic table of our Lord we pray for the Church’s worldwide
missionary work. Please prayerfully consider your donation to support our
missions who offer the poor and suffering the light of Christ. Please use your

BISHOP READY NEWS
As part of the school’s Spirit Week, Bishop Ready
High School will be holding its annual “Spirit Breakfast” on Thursday, October
15, at 7:30 a.m. in the school’s gym.
It’s a full breakfast and includes a pep rally to jump start homecoming
weekend activities, with the football team, coaches, cheerleaders, and the
school marching band on hand. Cost is
$15 and benefits the athletic department.
This year’s guest speaker will be Chris Strickland, Assistant Athletic
Trainer for the Columbus Blue Jackets hockey team. Reservations are required; last day to reserve

CONFIRMATION QUESTIONS
Young persons in 6th, 7th, or
8th grades, or high school students, can meet with Father Thomas
