ADVENT MORNING OF REFLECTION
The Church teaches that all Christians, in
any state or walk of life, are called to holiness. But what does holiness look
like in this time and place? How do we find the paths to holiness that are
well-suited to the particular contexts of our daily lives? Come away for a
spell to reflect on these important questions as a means of preparing for the
coming of Christ anew in our hearts this Advent season. This reflection period
is scheduled for Fri., Dec. 4th from
Looking for some good Catholic

Frederick Campbell will take questions from listeners LIVE! The Bishop's

VETERANS
On
November 11th as we commemorate Veterans Day by recalling the
sacrifices of our service men and women, we are mindful of those currently
serving our country, both here and overseas. Praying for their safe return to
their friends and loved ones, we lift them up: Almighty God, we commend
to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at
home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen
them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils
which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they
may be; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

HELP NEEDED
Father Thomas could use some adult help with Youth
Group activities during the coming season of Advent. The parish has very
capable and well trained college students to chaperone, but he prefers to also
have an older person or two at activities he cannot personally oversee. The
Advent season involves a lot of penance services at which Father is scheduled
to help and youth events are typically held on Sunday. Please contact the
parish office at 445.9668 if you are interested. Chaperones are required
to pass a background check, which consists of getting fingerprinted.
