The MARRIAGE and FAMILY LIFE Office…. reminds
you that January 18th is
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. As a Christian nonviolent civil rights leader,
Martin Luther King, Jr. understood that “Injustice
anywhere is a threat to justice
everywhere.” You may want to pray these words with your family: Gracious
God, you create us and love us and make us to live together in community. We
thank you for Martin Luther King, Jr. and all your children who have been
filled with your vision and who have worked to bring it into reality. Guide us
to live by your vision, working to build the community where everyone is
welcomed and valued, power is shared, and all your children know wholeness and
well-being. Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
