MAN of the YEAR
Join the Most Reverend
Frederick F. Campbell, Bishop of Columbus as he presents the Columbus Diocese
2010 Catholic Man of the Year Award. You will be inspired and strengthened to
continue living your vocation as a Catholic man after hearing the tremendous
story of this year's winner. Mark your calendar for: Fri., Feb. 5th, at St. Patrick Church, following the
11:45 a.m. mass with the program concluding at 1:15 p.m. Reservations are not
needed. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students to cover the meal and
meeting costs.
BIBLE STUDY
Are you interested in learning about the word of
God? The St. Mary’s Bible study will be finishing 1st Corinthians
and moving on to 2nd Corinthians.
If you would like to join the study please mark your calendars for March 3rd and join us for a
social at Plank’s on Parsons Avenue. Bible study meets every Weds. at 6:00 p.m.
and all are welcome! You do not need to have read or studied 1st Corinthians
to participate.
UPCOMING RETREAT
The Catholic Laymen’s Retreat League invites you to spend a
weekend at St. Therese’s on Feb. 12-14, 2010 for an Interactive Weekend Retreat
for Men. Father John D. Corbett, O.P. will be the retreat director and the
theme will be “Our friends and Our

YOUNG ADULTS… are invited to a gathering at Gresso’s, the first Thursday in February, Feb. 4th,
at 7:00 p.m. Please mark your calendar
and plan on attending. This is a great
opportunity to network with other fellow Catholics and to learn about your
faith.
On a
separate note, young adults should also mark their calendar for a conference on Saturday, April 10th, at
Christ the King church. The cost is $30.00.

MAINTENANCE UPDATES
Thanks to your generosity during the Bells of St.
Mary’s Campaign, we are beginning to make improvements to our beautiful church
and grounds. Recently, we made much needed repairs to our boiler in the Burkley
center. You will start to see in the
weeks and months ahead some improvement made to the interior of the
church. Stay tuned and keep an eye
out! Again, these improvements are only
possible because of your generous donations!

CONGRATULATIONS to ST. MARY SCOUTS
At last Sunday’s Scout Day, Bishop Campbell
presented the Light of Christ Award to Sean Price, Ben Weilbacher, Michael Gain
and Erick Breceda. Anthony Metnes received the Parvuli Dei Award. The scouts
studied for months in preparation for this honor.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY - FEB.14, 2010
The Marriage and Family Life Office and the
Diocesan Marriage Ministries Leadership Council call your attention to World
Marriage Day. Plan to celebrate this special day at St. Elizabeth
Pastors’ Hall from 2:00-4:30 p.m. Deacon Phil Paulucci will share insights on “Using the Wisdom of Scripture to Enrich

HAITIAN RELIEF
UPDATE
Your generous contributions to the 2nd
collection at each of the masses last weekend resulted in a donation of
$3,802.87 from St. Mary. St. Mary School will be holding an event in February
to raise funds for Haitian relief. Please watch your bulletin for an update.
CONGRATULATIONS to this year’s Gala Honorees, Fr. Michael Watson and
Annie Ruefle. Thank you to everyone who volunteered; purchased a
ticket or donated an item to make the Gala a success!
YOUTH GROUP
ACTIVITIES
The youth group will be watching the super bowl in
the atrium on Sunday, February 7th.
The game kicks off at 6:00 p.m.
