RCIA – 2009 – 2010
All those participating in the RCIA
program will meet in the atrium immediately following the 7:00 p.m. Ash
Wednesday mass. The next major step for this group will be the Rite of Election which will take place on Feb. 21st at 6:30 p.m. at St. Andrew.

TUESDAY FAMILY DINNER
Please join Saint Mary School for a Fat Tuesday
Family Dinner on February 16th
from 4:00 - 7:00. All proceeds of the
dinner to benefit the Haiti Earthquake relief fund through Catholic Relief
Services. Suggested donation: $5.00 adults, $3.00 children (8th grade and
younger). Fat Tuesday is the traditional day of feasting before Lent, the next
day, Wed. Feb. 17th is Ash
Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season. Please join us as we dine together as a
school and parish community and help the earthquake victims in Haiti. On the
menu: chili, soup, macaroni & cheese, bread, dessert and beverage.

Fri. at 7:00 p.m. at the following locations throughout the Lenten season.

A MESSAGE of THANKS
Evelyn Holleran wanted to express
her thanks to her parish family for the many cards and flowers sent to her
while she has been sick. But in particular, she wants to extend a special thank

4-S CLUB – LADIES AUX. DINNER
The ladies of the 4-S Club will host a dinner on Sunday, Feb. 21st from noon until

The PONTIFICAL COLLEGE JOSEPHINUM….. welcomes the general public to its
commemoration of the Feast of St. Patrick at the seminary’s fifth annual Irish
Fest on February 27, 2010, from 5:00
p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The event celebrating Irish culture and heritage will
be preceded by Mass at 4:30 p.m. in the seminary’s St. Turibius Chapel,
followed by an evening of traditional Irish music, food and dance. One hundred
percent of the profit benefits seminarians in financial need.
Tickets may be purchased at the door and are $20 for
adults and $5 for youth age 11-16. Children under 11 are free. Pre-sale tickets
($15 adults; $5 youth age 11-16) may be purchased until 4 p.m. on Friday,

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES
Masses for Ash Wednesday will be held at 9:45 a.m.; noon; and 7:00
p.m. The proceeds of our Ash Wednesday collection will be contributed to the
Joint Organization for Inner-city Needs (JOIN), which operates under Catholic
Charities of the Diocese of Columbus.
In addition, the office of Social Concerns is asking parishes to
support the 2nd annual Diocesan Ash Wed. food drive. Clean out your
cupboards on Fat Tuesday and bring the canned goods to mass on Ash Wednesday.
LOOKING for a WAY to GIVE BACK
Many nursing home residents have no regular visitors or may not have
family living nearby. The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is looking for
volunteers to visit nursing home residents in central Ohio. For only 2 hours a
week you can make a difference in someone’s life. Please contact Ruthie

CONGRATULATIONS
Three members of our parish who are students at Bishop Ready High
School have earned Honor Roll status for the 2nd quarter of the
current academic year. Earning First
Honors, having maintained a grade point average of 3.67 or better, are
sophomore Maria Martello and freshman William Perry. Named to the Distinction List, having
maintained a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.32, is senior David Martello. Congratulations to these students who work so
diligently to achieve academic success.
