Again this
year we will be blessed to have two seminarians that will visit our home bound
parishioners. Andrew Wellmann and Jordan Willard will take Holy Communion to
those in our parish family that cannot get to mass on a regular basis. If you
know of anyone that lives in the immediate area that would like to be added to
the visitation list please contact the parish office at 445-9668 at your
earliest convenience. The first round of visits will begin on September 16th.

Center, 5277 E. Broad Street, Columbus, on Thurs., Sept. 30th from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In these difficult economic times, many individuals and
families struggle with the effects of layoffs and unemployment. This
retreat is intended to provide a space for people who have recently lost their
jobs or suffer from the current economic crisis to come together and know Gods’
loving presence and hear about practical strategies for new employment and connections
that can be of assistance to them. There is no cost for the retreat; a simple lunch that will be served. To register,

FATHER THOMAS UPDATE
Father had surgery this past
Thursday morning and is now beginning the recovery process. Please address
cards or notes for Father to the parish office until further notice. Visits and
calls are prohibited by Father’s team of doctors for at least a week. We will
keep you advised of his status. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
Your
generous contributions to our 5th Sunday St. Vincent de Paul

Magpies are joined by the lively Jeff
White (percussion) and the excellent Nancy Kangas (spoken word) for this program. Ben Wiant will be at
the piano for the Zigeunerlieder (gypsy songs) by Brahms. The
performance takes place in the beautiful St Leo Church.

Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict we
will need to revise our daily mass times beginning next week, Monday, September
13th. The daily mass schedule will be as follows:

FRIDAY masses will be
held at

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY masses will be at
Father Sylvester will celebrate daily masses
until Father Thomas’s return. This schedule will remain in effect until further
